From the airport, shared minivan transfers and songthaews run to Ao Nang and Krabi Town; shuttle buses to most hotels in Krabi Town cost around 90 THB, with drops in Ao Nang slightly more. Private airport taxis start from around 800 THB — book at the official airport taxi desk to avoid inflated fares in the arrivals hall. Overland, buses from Bangkok are frequent and budget-friendly, though the journey takes roughly 12 hours by train to Surat Thani plus an onward bus (combined fares from ~732–1,116 THB).
