Any trip you create in Wanderlust can be shared: by link with the people you choose, or publicly for anyone to find. Whoever opens a shared trip can copy it into their own planner and make it theirs.

How sharing works
Share a trip, or start from someone else's
Trips are private until you decide otherwise. A trip shared by link opens for whoever has the link; a public one is there for anyone to find. Either way, any traveler who opens it can copy it and change it.
Share a trip
Choose who can open your trip in its Share panel. “Anyone with the link” gives it a link that opens without an account but isn't listed anywhere; “Public and listed” also lets people find it. Switch it back to private and the link stops working.
Discover other people's
Public trips and bookable group trips are listed on Explore. In the iPhone app, the Community screen sorts public trips by trending, newest or best value.
Make one yours
Hit “Clone this trip” on a shared trip, or “Plan my own version” on a group trip, and its day-by-day plan becomes a private trip in your planner, ready to edit.
People and places
The travelers behind the trips
Public trips show who made them. Travelers with a public profile can be followed, and some host trips you can join.
Public profiles
Travelers who make their profile public get a page with their bucket list, the group trips they're hosting and the guides and reviews they've written.
Follows
Follow a traveler from their profile. Profiles show how many people follow them, and who follows you both.
Group trips
Travelers on a Publisher plan host group trips you can book a place on. Rather go on your own? “Plan my own version” copies the plan instead.
- Do I need an account?
- Not to look around: public trips, group trips and profiles are open to everyone. You need a free account to clone a trip or follow someone.
- Is participation limited to premium members?
- No. Sharing trips, cloning other people's and following travelers are free for everyone.
- Who can see my trips?
- Only you and the companions you invite to plan with you, until you share it. With “Anyone with the link”, whoever has the link can open and clone it, but it isn't listed on Wanderlust and search engines are told not to index it. With “Public and listed”, it can also show up on Explore, on its city's guide, on your profile when your profile is public, in the app's Community screen and in search results.
- What does cloning a shared trip copy?
- The trip's title, destination, cover photo, route and day-by-day plan. Its dates, budget, hotels, flights, notes and travel companions stay with the owner, and your copy starts out private.
- Can I host a group trip?
- Yes, with a Publisher plan. Publishers can list group trips that travelers book a place on, and publish guides on Wanderlust.
- What if something public shouldn't be?
- Email help@wanderlustapp.io with the link. There's no report button in the app, so email is the way to flag it.
