How to arrive
The nearest airport is Alicante–Elche (ALC), approximately 84 km and a 75–90-minute drive via the toll-free AP-7 motorway. Valencia Airport (VLC) is a similar distance at ~96 km, about 80–85 minutes by car. Renting a car at either airport is strongly recommended, as Javea's three areas are spread out and public transport within town is limited. ALSA operates buses from both Valencia and Alicante city centres to Javea, with fares around €12 and roughly 4 daily departures from Alicante airport. Private door-to-door shuttle services (e.g. Beni-Connect) run from Alicante Airport for approximately €25 per person. A standard taxi one-way from either airport costs upwards of €100.

Moving through the city
A rental car is the most practical way to explore Javea, as the Old Town, Port, and Arenal beach areas are spread across several kilometres and bus connections between them are infrequent. The Old Town pedestrian zone has underground parking at Plaza de la Constitución. Within the port and Arenal areas, walking is easy. Taxis are available town-wide via Radio Taxi Javea (+34 96 579 11 70) and their '1 TAXI' app (iOS & Android); fares are metered. The AP-7 motorway exits at Ondara or Benissa serve the main town approach, and the road has been toll-free since January 2020.
